001 / Why we exist

Raising a child with a disability shouldn't mean facing it alone.

For newcomer families in British Columbia, navigating a new country while supporting a child with a disability can feel isolating. Steady Path Society was built to change that — pairing families with people who've walked the road before, and connecting them to the resources, community, and quiet reassurance they need.

One-on-one companionship

A dedicated person to walk alongside your family — not a hotline, a relationship.

Free, always

Every family we support receives care at no cost, for as long as they need it.

Rooted in lived experience

Founded by a newcomer parent who walked this path herself, for other families across BC.

002 / A note from our founder

"I know what it's like to arrive in a new country, holding your child close, and not know where to turn. Steady Path Society is the support I wished I'd had."

— Cordelia Aiwize, Founder
